Royal Shift is a fast-paced rougelike game about an continous cycle of overthrowing the ruling sovereign. 

As you rise from the sands, out for vengeance on the sovereign who dethroned you.

How to play

Your goal is to defeat the sovereign that dethroned you, avoid the wall creeping up on you controlled by the current Sovereign. And what happens after that? You get to play as the defeated sovereign to try and regain power once more!

Get in and out of the set location to fight for weapons and upgrades to be able to face your rival. But remember, any weapons you take to defeat the current ruler will then be used against you in the next cycle!

Controls

Movement: unverisal movement keys (wasd, zqsd)

Attack: Right clicking on item or dragging it onto enemies 

Upgrade: Drag and drop onto current loot (same items only)

Tips

 - Combine duplicates to upgrade your gear

 - The wall will progress even in combat

We tried to get the kinks out at the end, but have a few problems with sound, music, bugs and balance and will try to iron them out at a later point

We didn't had time to add in the credits so for now a short thanks to the people over at  Peritune for their royalty free music

Cool concept hopefully you fix the bugs so that I can play the intentional game. I didn't get to overthrow myself due to the bug at the end. I wish there was more juice in the attacks in terms of sound effects and/or screen shake. And also wish there was a description of what each of the weapons does.

the game broke at the final boss, and wouldn't let me click anything after winning.

I am a god, ran straight to the end and killed the BBG, then the game crashed. Built different

The art is beautiful, but there seems ti be something very wrong with the sound.
